the disco not me....

it all seemed to go well... did all the filters.
however since i did the change it now puffs blue smoke... the oil is Penrite full synth 10w-50..

ideas folks?

Sorry Cap'n, but how many cylinders do you have?
and did you change oil types/brand?

hiya Pedro...

its a td5, im not sure what the previous owner had used... he told me it was full synth... but now i wonder....

From various reports on here the best oil for the Td5 is actually a semi-synthetic. Penrite HPR Diesel 5 (5W-40). Penrite Oil | HPR DIESEL 5 5W-40 (Semi Syn.) (http://www.penriteoil.com.au/products/hpr-diesel-5-5w-40-semi-syn)

Thats all I've used in mine for the last 100,000Km, no idea what the previous owners used, and no oil usage between oil changed (10,000Km).
