This product seems like a good one.

However the price is somewhat steep.

Might be OK for you D4 pilots but I'm a poor Tdi Deefer pilot... :)

That aside,

When it comes to the various LR vehicles what do you think are the important things that should be monitored?

(My particular interest is the Tdi Defender, but this thread should discuss all models / engines)

The one thing is appears to be missing is a low coolant alarm.
( Fortunately that can be obtained here.... https://www.davesitshop.com/emporium/enginesaver.html )

....

I have a bit of a write up of my install. super simple, and all complete(except any adapters you may need for your vehicle).
HERE (https://www.aulro.com/afvb/communications-car-audio-and-electronics/238987-1gauge-some-questions.html?238987=#post2566224)

Gives you 7 gauges all up, and the gauges can be configured as you please.
I'm about to add a switchover for the oil temp I currently have for the engine, so that I can switch to trans temp too(on the same gauge line).

I got mine before he put the prices up to over $500(now) .. high $400's when I got mine.

Price cost is relative if you view it on a per gauge basis.
7 gauges as standard for $500 = $70 per gauge in a neat all in one screen that can be placed discretely.
ps. I'm not a fan of a million gauges making the dash look like a racing car or something.
