Looking good. 8)
Anyone make a spare wheel carrier for the rear yet? (Seen the South African one, looks good with the spare on the back).

Jamo,
I must admit the black looks good.
Do you have a second battery setup for the winch?
Next spend must be on a set of 17" wheels and tyres

Yes, I do have a second battery fitted.
And the black looks better than I though it would. TO me it looks better than the LR nudge bar that I had before.
And yes, the 17"s will be the next spend. Just as soon as I recover from the dent to the wallet.

See you have the UHF aerial on the side of the bull bar instead of in the standard ARB place.
Any special reason apart from not having it staring you in the face all day long?

ARB said it might foul the bonnet. I had a look and don't think it would, but I think I prefer the antenna down on the bumper anyway.

Very smooth Jamo. Wont be able to miss that when we are down in Esperance next month. What part of Esperance do you live in?
My neighbours up here are in the process of moving down around the Castletown area about 100metres from the beach.

My missus wants to go to esperance to meet up with a cousin so I dont think we will have a problem.

Safari will be bringing out a snorkel. The rest of the accessories will be created (or not) dependent on user demand. What the D3 really needs is a long-range tank, spare wheel carrier and cargo barrier. Unfortunately, the side airbags interfere with the latter.

LR actually produces what they call a 'Cargo Barrier" to ECE regulation 17 (Part No VUB501170). You can also get an extra divider setup for the rear for carrying dogs.
I don't know if it meets Australia Standard, but does show that a cargo barrier can be developed around the airbag system. https://www.aulro.com/afvb/
I also note that LR has already posted fitting instructions on the GTR website for the Mantec designed snorkel.

Craig,
I'm in the area known as 'Warren Heights' which is basically Town Central. We run our business from home.
My mobile is 0414 969 396.
Andrew, It would be good to have a AULRO get together. There's hundred of km of beach out there! https://www.aulro.com/afvb/ https://www.aulro.com/afvb/

G'day mate again,
Just looking at the setup of the bar, winch etc, what roughly would one be looking at to set that up and also any reason why you didnt run with the LR setup ie bull bar/winch and went with ARB. I know for when I start to seriously a) go off road and https://www.aulro.com/afvb/ do more travelling I will require these components, and always good to get some advice from those with the experience,
Regards
Stevo

The bar was $1610; the winch $2,161; and the Dynamica Rope was $577; fitting was $285.00.
I didn't go with LR because their brush bar and nudge bar are just as expensive, but not as strong. The LR winch is the same one, A Warn 9.5xp, but they wanted over $6,000 for the setup. The only advantage with the LR setup is the winch tray is designed to drop under the car in the event of a frontal impact and the remote connector is built into the grille.

Thanks Jamo, looks like I am going to have to start working on my brownie points to make more additions to my D3. Last night was spent looking at camper trailers in some magazine, so more $$$ to spend there. Hopefully we will have the 4WD and Camper show or something to that effect soon so I can go check out. As long as I get one with a shower then I should be able to convince her to come with me and the wascles https://www.aulro.com/afvb/.

Now it's looks like a REAL 4wd!!! The front approach has also increased quite a bit. Plus you got rid of that plastic crap on the front
Yes, if ARB pull there finger out and manufacturer a rear whell carrier/bar set-up they'll be on a winner with D3 Owners.
