Any tricks for replacing a wiper internals.

The drivers side wiper has rusted through which i found out while trying to manually push it back down to where it belongs, it snapped off in my hand, then the passenger one started moving again by itself.

You can see the internal screw of the drivers side one turning so all freed now.

Any easy way of replacing this?

Which part is rusty ? The internals or just the arms ?

the arm where it hooked onto the internals has snapped off leaving just a little turning pin that you can see inside the unit

You want the bad news or the bad news?
Its not the arm that has rusted. there should be a tapered spline there with a thread on top.
You will have to replace the linkage unless you can get the individual bit from somewhere. A little oil every few years would prevent that.
Ya see something new every day.

you need to remove the bonnet....
then the scuttle panel to get to them...... from memory.....

you will need someone to hold down the hinges with a screw driver through the holes.....
whilst you angle and remove the scuttle panel.....

then all will be exposed....
