It nice to have nice little widgets on the trip computer but it would be better if they provided the correct readouts. My L/100km reads lower than actual. From what I hear they all do. Is there a way or tool that will allow for this trim to be input. Sorry if this has been asked before but I could not find anything.

There is a setting in the CCF called "Trip Fuel Eco Adjust" which may do what you're asking - seems to be an adjustment percentage from -7.5% to +8.0%
Haven't tried it myself - others may have though?

That is indeed the parameter to change.

Won't be enough adjustment for me. My range over the last 21 fills is 12% to 20% error, averaging 14% or around 1.4 l/100km. The error was a little higher at about 1.8 l/100km in the D3.

Do what I do.
Tell anyone who asks what the trip computer says.
In my own head though, I add 1/7th or about 12-15%.

I downloaded a phone app. Each time I refill I input the distance travelled from the last fill and the litres bought to get a figure. Then I reset the trip counter.

I don't care!
I just love the car [bigsmile1]

Mine is not a percentage. It reads about 1.4 under regardless of whether it's a good run or a bad run.

Yep. That's generally me.
use the right foot as I please, enjoy the driving, and fill the fuel tank when it's getting low.
I rarely pay attention to the fuel price.

IIRC my MY10 3.0 D4 was originally set to +7% but needed -6% to regularly be close.
Having a reasonably accurate DTE was important for me.

It is currently set to -4.0% and is pretty close with the driving we do - close enough that it isn't worth the trouble of adjusting. The DTE out enough that once it hits 0kms there is still a few usable litres left (going off how many litres it takes to fill). I am more than happy for it to be a little pessimistic in my DTE

Does anyone know if changing that parameter will change the distance to empty as well?

It does, but you need to reset Trip A and Trip B for it to be accurate to that tank.

I modified the CCF file and now it is close. The point to be modified was in Warnings and Messages / Trip computer fuel economy in a Nanocom. Mine was set to +7. I moved it to 0 the tried it then moved it to -7.5. Readings now vary from 0 to plus 0.5 which is usable.
