S1 1957 Tailgate size.

Hello all.
I bought a S1 for a restoration project. Once looking at it properly the rear tailgate is a bad homemade job. I bought a replacement original. No good to use but good enough to copy.
My question is what size should it be. The one i have measures up 960x449. It's too small to fit the car. I suspect the rear tub could have been changed.
What size is the gap in the tub for the tailgate? Or what size is outside corner of car to tailgate recess.

The outer gal capping measures top peice 86.5 full width if gate gal to gal is 89.5 cm with the side gal being 36.5. Bottom opening on Car is 89.5 cm

Thanks mfc. I get the same width as you but I get 35.0 on height. Probably 14". I don't have top gal cap on mine so plus 5 maybe. I do have 310 x 380 on tub. On closer look my tub rails are tapered outwards. Wider at the back.

Could someone confirm overall across the rear. Measured at the bottom of the tail gate i get 1555mm.

i get a tailgate opening at bottom of 91.8 cm and rear with gal to gal at bottom of tub of153.8 cm on the tub hight the 38.5 cm is from floor of tub to gal capping , its 41.7 total{above cross member to gal cap}
mines splayed out at the top as well ,i guess a ratchet strap would even it up but its not notivcable
