I don't think you should be allowed to go, in fact I propose a forum name change to AULRO & Wannabes.

Have you a Land Rover toy or model? That counts too! My profile pic is a 12 tonne truck... and they still put up with me! You'll just find your 'regular places' where you post most change. :)

Found this in Woolies this pm. $5 - but when I got to the checkout it came up as $2 - so I bought two. Happy to send you one to keep you in the Family.
cheers,
D

It would have been full price if you'd picked one that hadn't been rolled. [wink11]

I think Gumnut was meaning, as in ex-owners, Bob. I hope so, I 'liked' his post. [bighmmm]

Stay. Go. Whatever. As an old boss of mine, a very wealthy man of Italian descent once told me; "never burn a bridge".

Are all ex owners has beens, then Ian ? A poor choice of words, at best. Give him the benefit of the doubt, I guess. But as I have been reminded , a few times, members should be respected. [wink11]

Another Italian saying is [ from a not wealthy Italian lady friend of mine] A bridge is rarely burned from the middle, that was before I was married, I'm still trying to work out what she meant.

Give the man some poetic license Bob, it fitted in with my TiC suggestion of AULRO & wannabes. [bigsmile1]

I know exactly what she meant, and the emphasis should be on the "she". It's the way women think, and it is why I think women should be in charge.... well, excepting women who want to be in charge, obviously. In the Western world there has only been one of those that worked, and that was because Maggie had a bigger pair than anyone around her.

Fair enough Bob, my knowledge of the situation is very limited.
Best we leave it there, before it becomes political.

I believe that you know more about that than me, on a personal level, so I propose not to argue with you there.

We don't argue, we discuss, calmly, and thoughtfully. Until we argue.

Please - STOP DISCUSSING POLITICS IN THE GENERAL FORUM!

I've deleted all offending posts - those involved should know better.

A bit late but, just for the sake of clarity....

on the intended meanings of the terms "wannabes" and "hasbeens" in relation to Land Rover ownership:

wannabes => those that never have but want to
hasbeens => those that have but don't anymore (and may still want to).

I don't think anyone meant anything derogatory in their use.

I don't own a Land Rover either.

But my vehicle has same engine , gearbox, wheelbase as a Defender and has cost me nothing in 2 years , which cannot be said about the D2 I owned previously.
