Was wondering if anyone has been to the Jazz in the Tops concert held in Coolah Tops National Park?
A few of us are thinking about heading out that way for the weekend, any comments?

I always thought brass instruments were wasted on a jazz band,,,
but get 15 or twenty together
and swinging!
Yo the big bands!

I didn't realise that the "Duck" was still quacking until I drove past a pub in Balmain the other day and "Galapagos Duck" was chalked on a board. A far cry from the Basement and my final year at high school when they accompanied Renee Geyer at our Formal. Speaking of big bands Pedro Warren Daly was there as well. It was wasted on us callow youths

"String of Pearls"

and they all wore funny hats https://www.aulro.com/afvb/

It was as good as the Oils!
Miles leading on trumpet as usual.
Keith Jarrett (organ), Airto Moriera (percussion) his lovely wife Flora Purim was missing on vocals (Insensates and Vera Cruz,) Dave Holland (Bass), Chick Corea (Fender Rhodes), Jack de Johnette (Drums), Santana (guitar) and as they say "many more". Did I forget Herbie Hancock 8O
Joe Zawinal didn't get a lookin (Weather Report)
A great gig but I was still in diapers then.
