A Girl.

Doctor Who: Jodie Whittaker becomes 13th Time Lord, urging fans 'not to be scared by my gender' (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/tv/2017/07/16/doctor-jodie-whittaker-replace-peter-capaldi-time-lord-regeneration/)

I think you would have to be blind Freddy to not see this coming. A good thing IMHO. [bigsmile1]

Michelle Gomez did a wonderful Missy. If that character hadn't worked as a woman, we wouldn't have seen a female Dr Who.
I will reserve my judgement.
It's a brave decision that could work, or could break it.

Will be reserving judgement until I see it. Here's hoping it doesn't turn out like Ghostbusters 2016.....

The female version of a Lord is a Lady so I guess Dr Who is no longer a Time Lord but is now a Time Lady.

What's PC about it ?

Half the population are female, I agree with pop, it's a good thing.

At least she's better looking than Billie (Pearl Mackie) - all the Doctor's previous companions have been good/reasonable looking.

14th Doctor actually. Everyone seems to forget the Doctor before Hartnell: Peter Cushing (look it up).

You never cease to amaze me, Ron. You give the impression you don't watch TV, but you do.
I have those two movies on video tape. Had them for years.

Also, Big Finish Productions produced a radio series of Dr Who, which starred the eigth Doctor (Paul McGann). I love listening to them.

I watch very little TV and even fewer movies - but I've been watching Doctor Who since the Sixties. My kids started watching as babies sitting on my lap.

The majority of programmes that I might watch are documentaries (of a sort, e.g., Great Train Journeys, etc.).

I forgot to ask - where does Paul McGann fit into the number series?

Paul McGann was the Doctor after Sylvester McCoy.
