That looks the goods! With the running gear it has should be quite a formidable performer.

Shame your off-loading the Rangie, but I suppose you have the reasons for doing so (wouldn't be the fuel consumption would it?).
I had the same thing with the 83. The 87 I bought was too good to pass up so I bought it, more comfy and generally a bettter vehicle than the 83.
Good luck with it.

Yep, going well and running like a 3.5 EFI Rangie should.
Still a slug, but as long as it kick arse off-road I don't care
Maxi go in Feb 6th, tyres not long after and that's it for a while, will be even more broke than before
Tanks for asking.

thanks guys yes it is the goods , reason for off loading the rangie has nothing to do with economy cause its on gas and petrol .
but call me sad if you want but ive always wanted a defender after owning a few series rovers the look sticks and this was at the right price .
i was looking foward to going away this weekend i have 4 days off but all those fires buggered that idea plus 40 degree heat , not the type of weather to be in the bush
ill just have to wait for easter i have 12 days off , wonangatta is looking real good from the dargo end
