G'day I am looking to put the v6 from a VN-VP holden in my s111 landy, the thing that is stoping me at the moe, is trying to find Mounts that will do the job,

has anyone else dropped one of these in a Landy, and can give any advice on the subject, or offer photos of the work they had done?

I have a t700 auto with a tranny on it, so i wont have any problems with adaptor plates, i just want some mounting gear,

Any info would be great, https://www.aulro.com/afvb/ Thanks

Youll probably end up fabricating them yourself. Just remember to leave a big enough cutout to do the bolts up - ie bigger than what I have done, as its a major PITA to do up these engine mount bolts. I've done this for the Rover V8 into IIa and its not all that hard. Are you running the LT230 also?

no LT230, not just yet anyway:wink: , I am using a jackaroo transfer case, so if I end up having trouble with it down the line, then I would do somthing with a landy tran, but untill then just using the cheaper jackaroo one,.

the pics of the mounts look good, did you weld them to your rails? or bolt?
was it hard getting a cert for rego?
Thanks again:)

Hi
Have a look at a nissan 720 4x4 transfercase, reputed to be one of the strongest stock transfercases available. The beauty is it is a remote transfercase,ie not fixed to the gearbox so very easy to adapt to any gearbox.Ive seen one used in a off-road racer powered by a rear mounted twin turbo nissan V6,and it was been used"back to front",that is power in thru 1 of the usual power out shafts. The bloke who built it reckoned they were indestructible.

The mounts were welded to the chassis. I haven't tried to register it with this engine. I hope its ok. It should be.

Thanks a mill Slunnie, those mounts look good, and have re-boosted my confidence in the project https://www.aulro.com/afvb/

and loanrangie, I like the idea of the carby v6, because they can be water proofed a bit easier, but it all depends on cost,
I am interested but https://www.aulro.com/afvb/
