Whale Watching in Hervey Bay

Looking at taking the kids up soon, but looking for recommendations. Is 3/4 day the best amount of time? Which operator? Decent camping grounds/caravan parks/other accommodation? Any other tips?

We did it last season ,last week of the season, think it was a 3/4 day saw about 20 . We went from Harvey Bay down to Tin Can Bay for Dolphin feeding at the boat ramp.that is good also. Think it was Tasman Venture .Crew on boat were very good.
