Good to see that ute again.

Did some good trips with that Adam & that ute when I had my D2 & D3.

The D2au crew are a great crowd.

Remember doing my first trip with them & feeling very intimidated when I saw their cars.

They made me feel very welcome & taught me heaps.

Remember trying to get up a big hill at Toolangi & could not get up.

They guided me down in reverse then crawled under my D2 & engaged my centre diff lock via spanner.

Then drove straight up same hill.

Great ute hope you enjoy it.

30 litres per hundred 110 km/h driving to Blue Mountains

How could it possibly use that much. My 3.9 LSE (big heavy bugger) used 19 around town and 14ish on the highway....

Tyre size lift

VladTepes
25th August 2017, 03:51 PM
Ah OK fair enough.

The only other time I've seen fuel consumption figures like that was with a 3.5l RRC on sand....

Vern
25th August 2017, 04:44 PM
Thats 30L/100 on gas, not petrol

grey_ghost
25th August 2017, 07:46 PM
Well my 101 gets25-28l/100 on petrol. [emoji6]

Lockee
26th August 2017, 05:30 PM
Amazed that people miss that a modified vehicle on LPG being driven for low elapsed time not economy can't believe the fuel usage.....

ozscott
26th August 2017, 06:49 PM
The most lpg i could inject into my 4.6 on my D2 on the highway was 17 litres per 100k with roof racked up 31 inch AT's etc... 30 is high even climbing mountains! It's not deep sand... Cheers

75mm overall lift

ozscott

Perhaps...but that much from lift and tyres. Mine would be heavier. 45mm lift...

Cheers

I regularly manage over 40l/100km on gas in my 101 in 4wd stuff - cruise on bitumen about 23l/100km but as soon as you are offroad it all changes.

Nice buy.
I watched the build of this ute and it made me want one.

I just don't have the money to put into one to make it this good.

You must really hate gas to pull out the whole system and convert to petrol

Good luck with the mods, watching closely with much envy [bigsmile1]

I do hate gas. In NSW was 90c per litre.

Hard to use Jerry Cans.

Have a Manifold and Long Range Tank to go in.

Its a nice looking stainless snorkel..and good work getting that through without popping out the side
