The handbrake on my LT230 in my series one 88" works very well only it hangs too low for my liking. Its connected by the series brake lever OK but I wondered if anyone has converted the drum assembly back to the smaller diameter series one as well.
I found cable operated conversions but prefer the linkage one.

Early rangie ones are smaller.

Yes , I looked at them but the linkage goes the wrong way. It pushes from right to left. I could do it with a cable but wanted to stick to linkage.

I have been thinking about using an SIIB 11" drumbrake on Gog*, so I'd be interested in how you go.

* Have a stumpy R380 with a 6cyl flywheel housing modified to fit the R380 so I can solve the problem of the Low ratio of the standard SIIB F/C box but there are clearance issues with the cross member behind the transfer.

I think you are right, they might be my best bet.
The series pull rod is too close for the wider LT230 housing.
If I rotate the small rangie one 90 degrees the push can become a pull up and may connect to the hand brake lever OK.
It will need a spacer for the backing plate but thats OK. Still need to look at it a bit yet.
