Disco 5 rear diff - new or same as Disco 4?

Hi,
Can anyone tell me if the rear diff in the D5 is the same as the D4 or is it a whole new diff? I have been looking at the specs for the Disco 5 but can't find the info anywhere.

I'm particularly interested in whether the rear eDiff is the same as the D4 or if has been upgraded in the D5?

I’ve read a lot about the D5 but haven’t come across anything suggesting that the e-diff is meaningfully different to its predecessor. It’s still described as being electronically controlled and not something the driver has to think about.

What kind of upgrades do you imagine they might have done?

Well there were subtle difference between the D3 and D4, enough that there is no aftermarket D4 rear locker.

I was wondering if they have kept the same shape & dimensions as the D4 for the D5. If so there would be more incentive for aftermarket manufacturers to make the investment and develop a locker that fitted both, and possibly even the up-coming new Defender.[bighmmm]

The L494 RRS / L405 RR rear diff housing is different to both the D4 and the L322 RR. The D5 rear diff housing is likely to be the same as the L494/L405.
