Clear coat for Toyota Red

Hi all. I'm doing a spray of Toyota Red using Acrylic. It's going over previously painted silver (Toyota). I'm not sure if Toyo use a clear coat in their 2 Pac factory painting. Reckon I should use clear or just do 2 - 3 coats of Red and use a good cutter and polish?

Vehicle is a 2005 Corolla

Mate I am thinking that I should get around to painting my d1 roof. I am just carrying out repairs to the little Corolla. Cheers
