If Australia ever becomes a Republic ,will our subsequent lexicon change?

To wit,


no more crown land, or royalties
no more Queens' Council, just AULRO bush lawyers?
no more royal flush, or jack queen and king
no more Queens' Birthday Honours, sorry V8Ian, I was going to nominate you for service to
transport.
so King of the Road is gone , sorry to B61 and R190, also delete Dukes Hwy and Princes Hwy.

Tassie will terminate Kingston, Queenstown , Elizabeth Town,Queens' Domain, King Island can stay ,it was named after a Governor.

Queen Elizabeth Stakes out, and Royal Randwick

Nomenclature of States quite easy Victoria will cede to Tasmania, well we did start the place
Queensland, ...a minor change to Queansland for the suburbs and Alfy Langer Land the rest.

We could rename the rest of the country in relation to its location...

Qld/Nsw/Vic, becomes Eastern Australia, Tassie becomes Southern Australia, Nt becomes Northern central Australia and SA is Southern Central Australia...

Or just divide the continent with a line down the middle, west aust and east aust with the east paying the west for the right to belong....

We have one in Ipswich, the apostrophe has been omitted. If the apostrophe should be between the N and the S, presumably the park was named after a Pommie shelia, if however, it is supposed to be after the S, it must be named after the people who frequent it. [wink11]

We don't have a bill of rights now, but we are not a republic yet :-)

When we do become a republic, we will need a constitution and a bill of rights...and I say , enshrined within it, should be the right to burn fossil fuels.

Looks like my rather good post was culled...and I don't think I was being political, just musing on the possible results of a decision to become a republic. And what all those worthless idiots in parliament would make of it....in their own interests. [wink11]

Lots of people have Grossers. Over 2500 of them were made from the early 1960's to 1981.

I helped a mate collect four over two weekends.

it's not hard to get a Grosser, just very expensive to keep it on the road.

Not a problem when I'm dictator.
