I have a set of extractors, on my S2A, which will be put on Gilbert.
I have looked for the best route, for an exhaust system but PhotoBucket ????
has pulled the pin, on posts I have looked at and removed pics.
The Extractors have a 2 inch outlet, so I am leaning towards a 2 inch system.
The original set up on my rebuilt motor has the gaskets, only on the Inlet Manifold. When using the extractor set up, should I add the 8 hole compete gasket for this set up ????
What type of "muffler" should I look at, to be added ????
Love some pics of your set ups and comments. Looking at running a SU carby with this system, or the STD (NEW copy) Zenith, or an original rebuilt one. Which one, have members used with success ????
Thanks.

I recently fitted extractors to my Series 3 SWB.
According to my research (& asking the exhaust specialist) you need a gasket designed for extractors.
I fitted the extractors & drove it like that to the exhaust place - a bit noisy- & they fitted a 2" setup

mine follows the standard route except for the first foot or so as the extractors point outward just a little.

i used an extractor gasket as above

my muffler in in the std spot accross the back between the chassis rails but is more resonator than muffler the way it gurgles when you back off.

is a tad loud and i want to add another resonator when i get the time and money.

you want pics?
