Hello people thought I would share my experience with you all.
The bearing on th crimped end of my drag link was looking very much the worse for wear and as it isn't replaceable i started looking around for a new one, preferably heavy duty. I came across a product called sumo bars, there aren't many options for the p38 so it was a quick search and after contacting Ben at gwyn lewis 4x4 in the UK decided to take the plunge,
They arrived on Monday, I ordered then Wednesday last week, both steering bars, track rod and drag link have both ends replaceable, and the ends that come with them are very solid looking and have grease nipples, so I'm hoping they last.
The bars themselves are 30mm solid stainless steel bar, and they feel like it, nice and heavy.
The kit, including steering damper bracket and all stainless fixings came to £168, postage was another £109, but was quick, on the day it came out at $440 delivered, not cheap but they look like they will outlive planet earth, let alone the car!
Wheel alignment today, looks like I'm up for a front wheel bearing, I know that's not going to be cheap!
