Series 1 diff

I am just wondering whether series 1 lwb ute diff will fit early series 2 lwb ute

Yes, provided both are standard. But be aware that either may have a non standard diff ratio fitted later, and the Series 2 may have a Salisbury axle from late Series 2a or Series 3.

BUT! This is only the differential unit, not the entire axle assembly. Series 1 lwb was narrower track and had the spring mounts same as swb, where the Series 2 lwb had the springs further out.
