Wanting to confirm the spline count for the steering wheel on a 2000 Defender
48 or 36??

Likely 48, large diameter. But you never know really from what I can tell. The link below says I should have a 36 small (2000 model, station wagon), but I have a 48 large. The picture as to which wheel is what is correct. Typical really.

It's likely the same as mine, so unfortunately you need to ship in a boss kit if you want a new wheel. If you do have one of the small ones, I have a small shaft boss, unsure on spline count but can have a look for you

How bad for is your old one? I am about to toss mine once I get the boss kit. It's not amazing though, but you are welcome to it
