Evidently I've got an immobilizer attached to my 2000 TD5, but don't think it's original. I have a strange looking plastic thing on my key ring that I was told had to be with the keys. There is also a wire loop that just hangs over and around the ignition switch/ steering lock that I found when I had to replace the ignition switch. This has wires leading to somewhere. I want to have a spare ECU and map it to the car, but is this thing going to cause me a headache? Is it OEM?
