Guys..
Some of you might remember my last high country trip when Camila took a bath due to the engine cutting out....

Well i found the Leak... 2 acually

Both my fault, but i'm happy to find them and admit fault.

How i found them...

I started it up and removed the ram head off the snorkle. i then covered the top and watched and listened to find the leak... over the engine noise you cant hear nothing.
I then pulled the hose that runs from the snorkle to the air box and covered the air box intake. Ahhhhh Leak 1...
The Screw on lid on the airbox was missing its seal. Do they accually have a seal????? so i made one from garden dripper hose.. 4mm plastic i think... i cut down the center of it and slipped it over the end cap in a full circle. when its screwed together the cap crushes it and makes a seal.....
i then tested it while running and found the seal worked and by putting my hand over the intake hose i could get the engine to stall.
Then came the Snorkel test.
Leak..... Dump valve and hose where it joins the snorkle.
Solution... Clamp and lots of silicon on the dump valve.
To get to the dump valve i had to remove the heater inlet, washer bottle, and Flare... those little round plugs with the pin in them is a beast... i made a tool to drive the pin out then the plug pulled out... Easy....

so tomorrow i'll test it again to see if thats the only leak. hope so..... if it is i wont be so scared to go in water again.... not as deep... but i'll be ok...

And i changed the Diff oil again....

And fitted the new 330pound Rangie spares rear coils....
i'm not overly impressed as they are about 8mm to large in diameter. so that dont sit neat on the diff plates.. they overhang...

i'll go see them and show them and see what they think.
