Gentlemen,
I inherited a stripped down Solex 32PBI carburettor in good condition that I am keen to use. It have been stripped for cleaning so came to me in a box.
I purchased an overhaul kit from Alex at Series One Shop, so now have two small piles of parts.

My problem is that I am struggling to work out which jet is which, and where each goes. Several are very similar in appearance and the only guide I can find are the fair rough line drawings in the Solex carburettor manual which provides insufficient details to be sure I am installing the right jet in the right location.
Is there a resource that might help me work out acurately , which jet is which and from there I can determine where each goes.

Yes I could take it down to the local carburettor guy, who would charge me $200 to assembly the carb, but I'm hoping to avoid that and find a resource that can guide me in doing it myself and learning something along the way.

Many thanks in advice
Jeff

The genuine parts book is pretty good even giving the size of many of the jets (stamped on the jet) so you can work it out.
The guy who runs this site sells them and you will use it for heaps of stuff it's really handy. Heaps cheaper than carb guy.

Thanks a million Paul.

I do have an electronic copy of the genuine Parts Catalogue but I have been too stupid or unobservant to have noticed the numbers in brackets after the jets in the catalogue.
Now that I look, my copy has Main Jet (115) Economy Jet (50) etc.
I was also too stupid to have noticed that most of the jets have a number stamped on them as well. So brilliant. I now have a road map for which jets which and how to reassembling my spare carbie. [smilebigeye]

Its amazing how much the member of this this forum knows ( and how little I do)

Thanks very much.
