I started by pulling my headlining out to investigate some roof movement. What I found were loose A pillar screws, well actually one was a roofing screw half in, the other was the correct screw however had no washer and has now rounded out the hole. One thing led to another and now I have removed the roof and windscreen completely as the seals were looking a little shabby also.

My questions are regarding putting it back together.

Should I replace all seals with factory items, or is there a better method? Should I just use sikaflex everywhere?

Has anyone been through this exercise before and what have you done?

Also the B-Pillar to roof area seal, what is meant to be there? I cant seem to find any info and mine is a combo of seals and foam to fill the rather large void.

I would use factory seals .
Do not use sikaflex as one day you may need to remove the roof again.
Clark rubber have a good selection of seals, although they are not cheap.

Really? I have no intention of ever removing my roof and nobody else who is sane would either...

Sikaflex is one option.

But what about the insane among us?
I sikaflexed the roof on my 2 door rangie, years later it fell asleep and I needed to replace the roof.
It could possibly be the cause of insanity.
