I have just finished my storage draw system in the defender, and am using the holes for the original tie down lugs as the mounting points for the frame. Are there any issues with regard to bolts thru the bodywork as to corrossion etc. Should I isolate the steel bolts with alloy washers or use stainless bolts, os just use hi tensiles and keep up em with Lanotec?

G'day Crump,

I have built a drawer system and have done similar, I had this on my last defender and never had any signs of corrsion. I have just fitted my drawer system into my new defender and hopefully this will be OK.
Can you send a photo of your set up. I will see if I can post a shot of mine including where I have secured it.
By the way I am Guzzi fan, What do you ride. I am equally a mad BMW fan riding a BMK1200LT but still love sports tourers.

Sp has is one of the sweetest sounding bikes. Can't help with Two Wheels but it may be worth actually emailing them and try to obtain a print.
