I'm taking the family on a cruise from Circular Quay from Dec 16th for 10 days & I just spent an hour or so trying to find suitable ( ie cheap but secure) parking for our Subaru outback.
Is there any good website apart from Park o pedia that wants a subscription? I can't find any carparks from renters with a recommendation.
The plan is to drop off the family & public transport it back to the ship from the carpark, so I guess it could be within a half hour from the ship.
Anyone had any experiences of these websites? After travelling via the train last year, I'll be giving that a miss.
Thanks in advance.

Try Blue Emu or Park n Fly at he airport
Taxi or train to Circular Quay from there.

You could leave it in my backyard but I'm a 1 hour train ride from the city.
when my wife and I travel, we leave our car at the Mercure hotel near the airport - but we fly out so it suits us to stay there the night before. That is a tad different to your situation.

Park & fly by the airport as already mentioned. Secure undercover parking if your vehicle is under 2 meters. My defender 90 is there now. Or secure outside if you have anything taller. You can get the train from mascot or a bus.

We have found it cheaper to do a 1 way rental car from home to the airport on a number of occasions

I've got spare secure undercover parking at my place (somewhat closer than p38arover) and could drop you back to your ship if required. Reverse on return.
Parking around Sydney is a nightmare.
Generally I only allow Land Rovers to park here but I occasionally make exceptions. [thumbsupbig]
PM me if interested.

Roger, I'm after a left-hand headlight assembly, grill and gearbox to suit an Outback, can you please give me a price including postage? [wink11]
DeeJay, I was exploring an avenue in Bondi for you, sorry, it turned into a blind ally. My contact hase just taken on a new flat-mate who uses the garage. [bigsad]

Thanks,
A great offer ,I wasn't angling for it but much appreciated. I may even take the Deefer up in that case !!
Happy to return the favour of course, I'll discuss it with the better half & PM you shortly. You are not wrong about Sydney parking though.

Then there is the story about the blond in NY with the $200k Porsche who needed an emergency loan of $1k to go to London for a month to sort out family schizz.
A bank took the car as collateral and gave her the $1k. Away she went.
Upon return she went to the bank to repay the loan with interest ($20), pick up the car, and was questioned.
Bank said 'we've checked you out and you have millions, why did you need the loan?'.
She said 'cheapest secure parking in NY for a month'.
cheers, DL
