Have a Skoda Yeti 4x4 in at the moment with egr issues. 100k old. The valve is continually faulting so out with it to clean and test...so i thought.
It requires almost 10hours in the 4x4 version to remove and refit as all the subframe, driveshaft to rear and rhf driveshaft, steering, dpf and catalyst, bracketry, cooling hoses and cables need to be removed to gain access.

Its getting a new one.

Bugger, is a blank off and egr delete out of the question?

In this instance the costs are about the same.... as the valve has failed and the DPF loaded up due to excess sooting then those iyems need to be rectified or a decat pipe fitted, egr blanked/removed and a remap done. The cost of decat pipe and remap is about the price of replacing the egr. They. Last reasonably well (this one has 100k) and the owner is happy to leave it 100% legal...
