Where to buy a "REAL" tank or APC in Oz!

A friend's mate owns a farm and is looking to buy a genuine tank or APC.

He's not interested in a movie-mock up.

Does anyone have any contacts or know of companies that deal in this sort of thing?

There a guy down on the Mornington Peninsula who has a couple,, although I'm not sure what they are exactly.
Dont know if you can look him up at all, but if I recall correctly, you used to be able to go for a drive in them.

Cameron, the owner of Gippsland Tank Adventures (https://tankadventures.com.au/) is not currently selling any of his vehicles. In fact he is currently active in restoring an M3 Stuart and a Valentine (Infantry Tank MkIII).

The Defence Disposals Agency has no intention of releasing any tanks or armoured fighting vehicles to the public in future. In fact all the ones you see in parks and outside RSLs are only on loan from the ADF.

If you want to buy a tank or armoured fighting vehicle the places to find them are on sales sites like Gumtree or eBay or the international site MilWeb Armour and Tracked Military Vehicles For Sale – MILWEB Classifieds (http://www.milweb.net/classifieds.php'type=1) some of the vehicles in the classified ads are actually located in Australia

But beware there are significant issues importing a fighting vehicle into Australia.

theres a guy on upper Ormeau Rd (right next to the M1)had a few centurions up behind his house but havent seen them for a while

Empire trading........Tim Vibert has two Centurion recovery vehicles for sale.
Getting a amoured vehicle into the country at present would be expensive and very difficult due to various new hoops which have to be jumped though.
I really question the need to real life reality and operational and transport problems of owning a tracked amoured vehicle.
