Today is National Tell A Lie Day or maybe I made that up, but feel free to post the best/biggest lie you've ever heard or told.

I'll start the ball rolling with, one Friday two electricians I knew worked overtime and then decided to go to a strip club, however the next morning one of their wive's noticed glitter in his clothes and hair, so he told her that they had attended a breakdown at a "Glitter Factory"! From his account she believed him.

If you hang around a gun shop for any length of time you will hear lots of pathological liars. Amazing how many were, or who's best friend, was in the SAS. This pedigree of course prefaces them displaying their excellent "knowledge" of all things. And by excellent I mean 'complete lack of'.

Oh and someone once told me that the public service would be a rewarding career. Bastard.

Back in the (19)50-60s my Dad worked with a fellow nicknamed Blackcat, because if you had a black cat, he had a blacker one. Before each shift, the blokes would pick a subject to discuss, amusing themselves with Blackcat's tall tales. One day the subject was about files. The conversation turned to how big files could be. Blackcat claimed to have used a file so big that it had a handle in the middle.
