I'll post this topic here but it could find it's way into the For Sale Section or the Recommended Supplier's Section.

There's some good stuff being offered for sale on this site but we seem to be troubled by the tyranny of distance.

What are people's good and bad experiences having bulky goods shipped interstate and what tricks and traps? Who would you use again?

I'll be watching this thread. I'm trying to get 4 rims and tyres to a bloke in QLD and I also want to get a tyre from VIC to me in SA.

I've used Pack and Send a couple of times - good experiences and good prices, last one was to Mick (D110V8) in VIC and it was there over night.

These can transport small items to pallet loads - just need to get it to their premesis!!!

I got a Roof rack from Sydney on an interstate removalist as a back load, but the seller was good enough to go out of his way to drop it off.Recently have had items such as sump guards and shockies just posted to me.

Yep Pack and send are the dudes to deal with. Very quick and reasonably priced.

Bus freight specify a weight limit of 20Kg.you might get a set of wheels sent as 4 separate items But I don't think they would take a wheel and tyre. Cost to get a Skyline dif Adelaide to Bris $60.

Spudboys 4xwheels and tyres cost me $300. But they will be packed on a palet and completely wrapped. I suppose I could have shopped around more but this was convenient for me ...and I hope for David https://www.aulro.com/afvb/
Triumph Rover Spares are doing the packing and shipping.

I looked at BusFreight for an almost free Defender seat from Crump up in Eidsvold but the nearest pickup point was in Petrie and, upon delivery to Sydney, would have meant a 120km drive for me to collect it. Owing to the bulkiness of the seat, it was calculated by volume so wasn't cheap.

It meant I could buy a seat locally for a similar amount from LVS but with far less hassle for Crump (I haven't yet gone out to LVS).

What ?

Who?

Where?

When?

The 4 little questions required in taking an order.

They say when it doesn't rain it pours,

This week I secured 6 new contracts
1 for sydney to the central coast
1 for sydney to newcastle
1 for sydney up to rocky once a month
1 for sydney to bairnsdale once a month
1 for sydney to wollongong
1 for sydney metro

All I need now is bums on seats Why is it so hard to give away jobs

I'm more then happy to assist where I can.
Australia is a small place when you know the short cuts.

Anyone needing stuff moved Australia wide Give me a PM or call me on 0410 304 357

Hmm, if Crump hasn't turfed out ther Defender seat, maybe I can backload it with you? Hmm, maybe not. Eidsvold is a bit too far inland.
