Greetings all,

This Saturday's edition of the Sydney Morning Herald had a review of the D5 in the Drive section.

It says: "While the Discovery's classic silhouette has remained, the Land Rover designers have softened its edges...."

Sorry, but I can't see any external resemblance at all to any previous Disco, be it 1, 2, 3, or 4.

Seems to me to be more like an updated F**d Territory.

I think they were referring to the stepped roof, which is all but gone now. Lets face it, the Disco has evolved, and in so doing has made room for a more luxurious Defender, which for many of the old Disco lovers will be the obvious choice, once it finally breaks cover. So lets stop hating the new Disco, its aimed at a different type of buyer who previously might never have given LR a first, let alone second look, and gone straight to the BMW/Audi/Volvo/Merc dealer instead. Personally, I can't wait for the Disco with a 250 Kw Ingenium 6 diesel to arrive, which I'm told will be January 2019. That'll stick it the LC200 V8 diesel lovers with their measly 200kw.

Looking forward to the Ingenium 6 diesel too, let's hope it comes with a larger, touring friendly fuel tank.

It all went downhill when the handles were removed from the head rests [emoji1]

I guarantee it won't.Why would they suddenly listen to their customers?[wink11]

Lets just hope it doesn't have timing belts.

By the time it arrives(the new 6cyl diesel) the LC200 will be due to be replaced.
