I rang and spoke to Ryan at RovaCraft today as any idea's on springs and what makes are avail for a 3 inch lift and he told me to send an email via the Scorpion -Racing for spring rates and prices .I stated that others had sent prior emails and they were unanswered ..... he was dumb-founded as to why they wouldn't have been answered .

So if you have sent an email direct to Scorpion -Racing aka RovaCraft and not recieved an answer please let me know and i will pass it onto Stuart tomorrow for you .

cheers

i spoke in person to Stuart and he assured me he had what i wanted in stock
Then he went on leave and the order never was sent. when i asked 2 weeks later where it all was the boss told me they never had it in stock. Not and item they carry...

Personally i think they are useless. Good luck trying to get truth from them.

I have spoken to Ian today who confirms that Stuart got the message as Ian himself actually gave it to him directly .
I couldn't get Stuart again as he had gone home  and he never returned my calls

I helped guide Ian thru the forum to this thread , and showed him

He said he would get Dave [owner] onto it 8) 8)

As I say it would be great to have a supplier like Rovacraft onboard , esp with such a base of L/R owners here .

G'day Stuart https://www.aulro.com/afvb/
It may be a good idea to contact "Incisor" whom runs this site, as it could well be advantagous to your business to have a direct link https://www.aulro.com/afvb/ as there are many fanatical Landrover offroaders on the site and word of mouth sure travels fast https://www.aulro.com/afvb/

regards

If you are emailing england scorpion then i know why you don't get an answer. That is because of the ar88hole Colin that owns the company. The bloke is a knob. and terrible to deal with. The reason why you have not got an answer from them about spring rates is because it is a gueessing game with them and they don't know the rates themselves. hence why anyone who knows they are doing in the Uk does not touch them with a Barge pole. If you want a supermarket kit to make the truck look good parked at work or at the supermarket. Then they will do the job, for about 6 months but if you want a kit for off roading th then forget it they will not last 5 mins. In the UK we all use OME as they are seen to be the beat surpension for Land Rovers on the Market. If you are going to use the truck for off roading.
The only good thing that scrap iron racing do is copyed from thses blokes in Itay who make some loverly stuff that can be added with OLd Man Emu springs and make a great set up with out the problem of crappy springs and shocks go here to see there kit for Land Rover http://www.equipe4x4.com/inglese/INDEXeng.htm

I hear you Reads - Scrap Iron have a bad rap in the UK.

Best go to the original company Equipe in Italy - the Scrap is just a copy of theirs, or their UK supplier http://www.lrsoffroad.co.uk/home.htm

this is the problem as when they wear out you have no idea what the spring rating was to replace them.

reading this tread with great interest.. I have to agree I personally went into the Scorpion Racing shop in London and got pretty much the same service.. didn't want to know me and had no interest in answering my questions , all I got was you would be better of getting a different car and just buying a suspension kit the guy didn't seem to know anything about.

I will give them a miss from now on.

Not only that but you have no idea of the final ride hieght ect.
not hard to work out when you have the info but as si wont part with it or they have no idea what their spring specs are.

I made all the components I wanted to suit my own set up.

springs were sourced from Rangie spares untill I can be bothered geting a set wound to the compression I want.

just an update here, Stuart has emailed me some prices on some gear I was interested in, still more to come, roll cage etc.. If this comes to fruition, would there be any interest in a bulk order? No committment at present of course, but expressions of interest on SR's products would be handy, and possibly we all benefit.

I was contemplating some of there gear...
But since some of the above posts I am looking else where.

I too am interested in some of the gear. Looking at the rock sliders with tree sliders/rails mounted. Have kind of a quote, but am not sure if that includes postage to Melbourne. Got a quote from the NZ distributor, and was better priced item, but $500 dollars postage.
Sounds a bit steep to me.

Hi crump,
I would be keen - I have a whole list of goodies from them that I would be interested in - especially if they could give us some kind of forum deal like Supercharge Batteries have. I am in Sydney by the way.

Cheers,
Cameron
