I got told that for the HSE Luxury the upgrades are TFT Dash, DAB Radio, InControl Pro and the extra security stuff

I went for the SD4 as I'm not personally planning on doing a huge amount of towing and figured the extra $ was better spent elsewhere.

I have started towing a 22 ft van around occasionally, so had to tick the 6 box!
( that was my excuse to the better half why we needed to spend more )

Digital dash TFT for driver is a $2500 or $3500 option the dealer told me, but is standard overseas go figure.

They might be talking about the TFT centre screen? Whereas the passenger can watch TV and the driver sees navigation or other driver options only.

The exact changes for 2018 seem to be a little vague, with more confusion with the options lists, as quite often you pick one option or pack and then involves another that wasn't requested but is needed also.

Redbook (https://www.redbook.com.au/cars/research/new/details/2017-land-rover-discovery-sd4-hse-luxury-auto-4x4-my18/SPOT-ITM-475511) now have the MY18 Discovery standard equipment list up.

Differences listed from the MY17 are:

DAB Radio
Telematics - Monitoring Service
Wireless Hotspot

Hope this helps

Hey Jack,

There is an expandable box titled "Standard Equipment" under the "Full Specifications" heading, just below the tick boxes.

Hope this helps, Tom

Thanks Tom, I found it, I had a boy look the first time,
still amazes me still so many options on the HSE LUX, ah well,
we keep buying them and optioning up ( guilty )

my 2018 was built last week, so now it's got to go on a cruise to Freamantle.
they reckon I might see it end of January.

All good.

The optimist in me says it's because they don't want to burden those of us who want an off-roader with I bunch of unnecessary gadgets. The pessimist in me says its cause that's how they make the most money.

I haven't heard anything from my dealer yet, might give them I call today and see if they've got an update.

The Australia Land Rover site has now been updated for 2018, so you can now configure a car and see what new and standard on different models.

Must admit, the Aftersales has been very good so far, had 2 x different calls and e-mails from the dealers staff saying it’s build date and expected shipping dates, other updates offered ships names when it leaves the UK and a offer and quote on extended warranty.
Which I will be going with, love the Land Rover, but now on my 3rd Disco and the extended warranty let’s me sleep well at night.

They are now offering a “Eric” extended warranty policy, rather than the Land Rover branded Aliance version, the price quoted is 1/2 the cost, so will be looking seriously at it.

anyone else been looking recently at extended warranties on their new D5 purchases?

Hey Jack,

Sounds like you've got a good dealer. Can't say I've had as positive an experience as you. No updates since I ordered the vehicle, ended up phoning the dealer myself.

In terms of after sales services. The only thing I've been offered is hyper-inflated paint protection and window tinting.

Hopefully it gets better closer to the delivery date.
