View Full Version : My p38 ownership nearing it's end

It's coming up for 10 years of ownership soon for my p38 and regrettably it is now up for sale. Circumstances have changed over my ownership period and sadly it now spends most of its life locked up in the garage. It has mainly been used recently for trips up North exploring some of the smaller tracks around Exmouth, Kalbarri and the like but I'm still doing less than 5000 kilometres per year. A new company car arrives next week and both the Rangie and my daily drive the Ford Focus turbo diesel are up for sale. I have loved owning the p38 and the on line friendships and support from this forum as well as a couple of FB forums. In the meantime until it moves to new home I will still enjoy the occasional drive in it.......even if it is just a quick trip down to the shops (the long way of course 😉)

HI Paul, I've only got it listed on Gumtree ATM. No big urgency to sell so I'll see how it goes

It’ll be sad to lose a P38 brethren, but I guess we can let you off the hook given you’re not jumping ship! I’m sure you’ll stick your nose in from time to time.
Your advice over the years has contributed to the wide knowledge base this forum offers, and as these old rigs get older, will help many in the years to come.
All the best (when you do lose the P38)!
Cheers

Thanks for the comments Keith. I'm not sure when the p38 goes to a new owner. I have just placed the ad over the weekend so it will be a wait and see. It will be a sad day when a new owner takes possession of her. I know it sounds silly but it is almost like part of the family.

It will be a very sad day for you when she sells! You’re exactly right, they are a part of the family!

I'll still be watching this site, even without the Rangie. As for the FB forums.....totally different story I'll be opting out of them
