d4 tow bar neck onto a D3

Got given a D4 tow bar neck just cant get it to lock into the car , no problems with the "plough " in and out , it came out of a D3 so it should just slide in looks like just a couple of mm to go further in .
Any hints ?

Some die grind off some casting burs I believe to make them fit a bit better

Yup a touch here and there made it fit nicely thanks
