So my 2013 Defender 90 died while I was driving. All the electrics died and the engine. I pulled over and was able to start it again however as soon as I put it into reverse it died again. Turned the key nothing came on, made sure the connectors on the battery were fine and after a minute it started again. I have been having issues with the ignition barrel I know I need to get a new one. Anyone know what the problem could be?

Yeah thats what I'm planning on doing I just hope it's not something else that has caused this considering I will be driving from Townsville to Brisbane in December.

You can replace the ignition switch part without changing the lock barrel.... Mine was just done for the second time recently.
