Gents,

Just curious but can u still add extra roof insulation and then still have your original roof lining installed as well?

I’ve got to have my roof lining repaired and was wondering if I could install extra insulation in the roof while I’m getting my original lining repaired and then reinstall my original lining over what I just added?

Sure can!
We had to have the entire roof replaced under warranty on Emma’s 90.
Whilst it was off (made it easier) we had Car Builders sound deadened and acoustic foam added and then fitted back to the vehicle.

Significant decrease in resonance and booming!!!

Hey Tombie
Re the Car Builders product, is that one layer that tackles both the acoustic and thermal insulation or two layers one for each application ?.
By the way a bit drastic needing the whole roof to be replaced, hope that went well.
Cheers

Went very well.... Adelaide dealer is brilliant..

I went with both the heavy liner and the acoustic foam... a lot less heat and noise was worth it.

When I get some workshop space I’ll be doing the sides, floors and door panels

Well not the warranty work but yes, the car builders. Nice prompt delivery ordering direct and a select few autobarns are now dealers (handy for a topup mid way through project if you under order)

100% coverage, floor to roof. We havnt had a really hot day in Melbourne for me to comment on that side yet, but noise wise, Well worth the effort!
