Just see how the pilot coped.

During a private "fly-in" fishing excursion in the Alaskan wilderness, the chartered pilot and fishermen left a cooler with bait in the airplane.

A bear smelled it. This is what he did to the plane.

The pilot used his radio and had

another pilot bring him 2 new tires, 3 cases of duct tape, and a supply

of sheet plastic... He patched the plane together, and FLEW IT HOME !

And if it had been an all metal plane, this would not have been able to have been done. There are some advantages to the older technology!

Old Mate did a Great job getting that mess air worthy in the middle of nowhere, Duct tape is a very versatile product and I have used it on the odd occasion to get me out of trouble in the Bush.[thumbsupbig]
Duct tape, silastic and cable ties have replaced binder twine and wire in the Bush mechanics tool chest now [biggrin]

I'm still not sure how he fixed the right rear bizzo, which looks very broke.
