Young Veterans - Perentie in Outback Challenge 2017

Some of you may know that the Young Veterans had been preparing a Perentie to compete in the OBC this year

I've been following their progress as best I could and from what I can gather, they completed 4 special stages and then had to withdraw due to tyre issues.

Does anyone know any more about the vehicle performed and how they went?

From memory they got new tyres, then blew up the transfer case. All over

Not good. In that case, I'd hazard a guess that they snapped the intermediate shaft - it seems to be a weakness of the army TRB set up. Mine came from the auctions with it already broken but was still driveable.

Yeah its a poor design compared to the ritters one
