Some more moving on :0) - Firewall

Firewall. While not bigger than Ben Hur, is getting close :0)

1457 – before
1459 – rust out, well nearly!
1460 – abrasive blasted, returned in SVX. Easy fit. Put fwd bit on a pot plant wheelie slid in a treat.
1462 – cut-out with replacement section
1463 – ditto

1464 and 1466 – LH and RH lower door posts after garnet blasting – lace work! More work!

Lower door posts would appear to be a bit vulnerable. Any water leakage down from the under windscreen channel flows into door posts. The Firewall chassis bolt is contained (still rusts in) but the lower door post is open. If mud or otherwise blocked top down or bottom up moisture will knacker the door post. That'll need to be cu out and new stuff welded in there too.

Doing the photos in the upload bit reminded me I need to upload amended drawings for second tank outrigger. Better do another thread there. :0)

Not a bad bulkhead, pretty typical. Penetrol or Fish oil the inside and also the folded joint on the front between the side post and the curved foot well, then seal the joint with Sikaflex then paint. It might be abit of an over kill but you've come this far.
