Anyone now what this cute little fellow is? He/she is only about 10mm long and was just found crawling up my arm while camping in east vic.

Sort of yellow with a bright green bum.

Once I blew the pic up you can see that he/she has spiky legs. He/she was struggling through my arm hair and was about to break out a machete I think...

I do love a good spider. I had a quick look here Lynx spiders, Oxyopidae, oxyopes (https://ednieuw.home.xs4all.nl/australian/oxyopidae/oxyopidae.html) and the hairs on its legs make it look like a Lynx spider. There are so many types though! And I have no idea outside of the few main types really.

Caution!
That could be the "Green Bum Spider"
It's not called that because it has a green bum

It's called that because if it bites the poison will turn you bum green.

That's what spider BS says anyway.

It looks like its "Not a dead one yet" spider...

Do you have the crab spiders in vic, we have something simular but never seen the egg sack green(it looks like an egg sack)...

Nastiest looking spiders here, are the christmas spider, lovely but look like they are getting ready for war with pointy shapes all over... They come out around christmas(obviously)...
Not fun when riding through the bush on a horse and running into there web, poor horses cant understand why your jumping around on top...

It's an Appleby spider, looking for loose cash to line its tax free haven in Paradise with.
