Hi all
Hoping some out there have experience wiring up IPF lights on a 300Tdi.  I bought a pair of second hand lights and have subsequently bought the following loom which looks very professional but doesn’t have any instructions with it;
Pre wired loom for use with ARB Intensity IPF Extreme Super Rally | eBay (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Pre-wired-loom-for-use-with-ARB-Intensity-IPF-Extreme-Super-Rally/262569435862'ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649).
The dark art of auto electrics has eluded me for decades so any guidance, links to relevant instructions would be fantastic. :-)

I'd start with Traxide's Defender light and driving light upgraded loom, then adapt what you've got to suit if required.

I've got experience ripping that loom out [bigwhistle]
Basically (with the least amount of technobabble possible)
Switches go in cab.
Connect loom with fuse to battery positive terminal (you could also pull 12V off the starter motor post)
Put replay somewhere in engine bay.
Feed main loom from battery to relay.
Feed switches to relay.
Feed relay wires to lights proper.
Relay, lights and switches need a ground. IIRC, mine were grounded to the bolt which the relay was screwed to in the engine bay. Light ground can be somewhere else (bullbar, chassis, any body earth which has some bare metal to conduct)
Optional step: If fuse blows, replace fuse, rinse and repeat [tonguewink]
There is obviously many ways to skin this cat, and there is a big difference between working and being done properly, but best of luck. The excess wire in my car which I removed had all the excess wire bundles zip-tied and stuffed up under the wing tops... messy as.
THE HORROR.

Thanks guys
Yes this is my project vehicle which has some pretty dodgy wiring which I do need to tidy up. The PO’s have done some strange things.

I am proposing to install a mulgo ex-box to help tidy up the wiring some time in the near future. I was hoping to locate as many fuses and relays as possible here, but obviously there are benefits to locating the relays closer to the lights. Or so I understand.

Return that loom - they’re useless and under rated...

I’ve just installed a pair of these.
I used the kit from Traxide to both improve the power to normal lights and power IPF’s.
Very good kit. Great instructions and has already improved the brightness of my regular driving lights.
Let there be light!
