Hi All,

I suppose this may be the correct sub-forum to post this.

I was wondering whether anyone had any recommendations for sources of timber slabs (seasoned but undressed) to make some outdoor furniture from? Two or three hours drive from Sydney would be realistic.

Thanks!

Have a check on Gumtree,

There are quite a few suppliers listing their products on there,

was there a certain timber you were after, there is a specialist Teak place in Terry Hill who might be able to help you out,

that's where i got the Teak for my project:

I am looking for cost-effective rather than fancy but thank you. And wow, what a beautiful job.

Slabs are pretty expensive still, mind you all timber is these days.

The 2 places I think of are Bells line of Rd on the left as you head west. I'm not sure how seasoned it is.

I suspect also at Marranagaroo on the RHS when heading west.

The other place I like is the red gum in the docks at Echuca.
