Fault code u2002-01(68) D4

Park brake fault re appeared today,hasn't appeared for a good few months.

This time it won't clear,code U2002-01(68) Switch general electric failure.

Park Brake won't work at all[bigsad]

UK site tells me on D3 faulty wiring rear wheel arch,usual fault.

Anyone had this fault on D4,is the wiring same place as D3?

Just checking before i pull the thing apart.

Ok,rang my Indie,they were extremely helpful,as i had the fault code.

They said the D4 park brake switch is more than likely the fault,and are extremely difficult to replace,unlike the D3.

Sometimes the switches get a bit of dirt or dog hair in them.

So i removed the panel from behind the switch,pulled off the electrical plug and blew it out with compressed air.

Now it seems to work fine.

The Gap tool is starting to pay for itself.[smilebigeye]

And as others have found out an essential piece of kit if you have a modern vehicle.
