As I am not a member of that facebook group, I can't see anything.
Would you like to post up the details here?

Ditto. I am now living in Stuart Town, not far from Dubbo. If I see it, I'll certainly come a yelling.

Not good, hope he gets it back in good condition.
About 12 years ago my disco was broken into at a motel in Dubbo, smashed the rear windscreen to gain access. The local dealer was very helpful.
The motel owner was not surprised, said crime was out of control. Hope it has improved.

Even though my loose sense of time has bitten, I let the other half know, her and her's in Dubbo will keep an eye out (however unlikely).

I think we’re going to have to look into getting gps trackers for our Defenders like they’re doing in UK. The problem is it’s an extra monthly phone cost but it’s cheaper than loosing your irreplaceable Defender.

I had a 300Tdi Ute stolen from Windsor railway station in 2000. Cops never found any parts of it. I replaced that with a Td5 Ute which I had fitted with a Quiktrak alarm/tracking/immobilizer. So I get alarms via txt or phone call depending on the nature of the alarm., can track in real time or playback. These guys are expensive (I still have the td5) and am sure there are better/cheaper options out there now that can integrate with your dashcam etc.

I use an Aldi simcard in mine . Prepaid option $15 or $30 lasts 365 days , get the $15.00 one , theres enough usage on it to SMS track your vehicle, its easy to top up via computer if you need add credit if it does get nicked, Cheap Insurance. But too bad the Insurance companies don't give you a good deal for having one !!

Yeah, the insurance companies give you no discount at all. The Quiktrak unit cost around $2k in 2000 and now has an annual subscription cost of $360, so basically $1 a day on top of your insurance.

Seriously! My dog has a GPS/WiFi/Bluetooth/3G tracker that does all of that and its a lot cheaper! It may not be adaptable, perhaps it may be also, but check out Podtrackers.

I remember seeing an add in an English magazine for an item that fits onto the clutch line and unless the power is activated to it it will block the use of the clutch leaving the vehicle with clutch disengaged, It could also be used on the brakes, although i think there maybe some legal issues but it blocks the brakes on. Does anyone know of where i can get a hold of such an item?
Just extra precaution

I haven’t heard of it but the pedal lock combined with a gear stick lock would do the same thing.
'ardcase pedal lock (http://www.mudstuff.co.uk/ardcase-pedal-lock.html)
X Defend Gear Stick Lock R380 for Land Rover Defender (https://foundry4x4.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=58)
The thing to bear in mind is the winch on a tilt tray truck will easily drag a Land Rover regardless.

Yes it would, and nothing will be 110% effective, but these little items are installed in the hydraulic line and are actuated by pressure, and are "always on" unless you supply power to them to turn them off. Its just a thing that makes life that little bit harder.
Many many years ago I used to know of a bloke who worked for a "company" they stole high end cars on order for parts. Winch them up into the back of a enclosed semi, drive around and in 8 hours it was a pile of parts, he said the enclosed metal trailer kept most of the noise from the alarm inside till they stopped that, but they didn't have GPS tracking in those days.
