Anyone got or know where I can get some of those extra wide rear mud flaps (CAT500112PCL) for my D3?
I’m running 285/60/18 tyres and the standards are just a bit narrow.

cheers
Kev

Original Land Rover parts from Duckworths. 24 pounds from memory. Might be worth getting a local dealer price too.

They only have the standard ones not the extra big ones. I’m pretty sure they are NLA new. Looking for old stock or swaps or second hand I guess.

Have you considered using the D2 front and Deefer rears? (Scott(LRD414)'s rears shown below)

More info in a few threads: D4 Mudflaps (http://www.aulro.com/afvb/l319-discovery-3-4/203930-d4-mudflaps-8.html) Mud flaps and side protection (https://www.aulro.com/afvb/l319-discovery-3-and-4-a/231573-mud-flaps-side-protection-3.html) and D4 Mudflaps (http://www.aulro.com/afvb/l319-discovery-3-4/203930-d4-mudflaps-4.html)

Thanks guys for the info, I hadn’t considered those options, I’d still, like some of the others if any one has any, but the defender ones are a great fall back plan.

cheers all

Oh i see, my bad I thought the defender ones were what you wanted. I have the ones from that thread, the rears from the Defender are ideal. The flex in them means they last forever over dunes, corrugations, whatever. The D2 fronts are nearly a bin job as they've cracked from sand dunes. Those are just ebay cheapies anyway though so doesn't matter.

No problem, I actually like the look of the defender ones, it will more than likely end up being the choice, my big tyres stick out way past the current ones and it’s making a mess of my car, so no more procrastinating.....[tonguewink]

I've got Defender flaps on the back and D1s on the front. Look good and do the job. Plus for the back I have an old dog choke chain fitted to pull them back when in sand.

These are in the other thread/s but to save you time, here are the part numbers

Pre TD5 Defender 90 rears :

*Genuine with LR logo*
LR055332 (RHS)
CAT500450PMA (LHS)

Generic without the LR logo are much cheaper (like $20 vs $48) - you can see multiple options here: LR055332 | Mudflap - Land Rover Part LR055332 (https://www.lrdirect.com/LR055332-Mudflap/?keep_https=yes)

D1 fronts
Front mudflaps D1 RTC6820

I bought these generic ones for the front: LAND ROVER DISCOVERY 1 FRONT MUDFLAP KIT`89 to`98 | eBay (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/280705529676?euid=62c5208d82484b9bbe6d78222a47bcd9&bu=43180735328&cp=1&sojTags=bu=bu)

You can also just get two of the same
CAT500450PMA (LHS) and cut your own exhaust cutout.

If you get the two different rears make sure you line up the pre-existing cutout to the correct side before making the cutouts for the exhausts!

And use some decent side cutters.

I’m guessing there must be some differences in the LR and non-LR versions (or perhaps even just different LR versions?) as the (LR) ones I bought didn’t have a cutout and were also ribbed on one side with the LR logo on the other side, so therefore not able to be swapped across to the other side. I made a cardboard template for mine and cut them with a Stanley knife (probably a bit larger cutouts than was really necessary).
