Hey All,

Finally got down to the tyre place Harry suggested and they are unable to repair the tyre, nor do they have my tyre in stock as they are new on the market. He got in contact with Goodyear ( maker of this tyre) and popped in. THey have to order them in at $435 a pop, yyiikkkeeessss. Had a closer look at the rim as well and it had a big dint in it, hmm wonder if that counts in the ding tally?? . ANyway have ordered in a tyre and for him to look into any 19inches in AT's, seems nothing around at moment. 17's wont work on my car and I maybe pushing it for 18's. A case of wait and see. Is there anything one can do to superficially strengthen the tyre wall?? Hope those that a 4WDing are having a great day,

Regards

Stevo

Sorry to hear about your dramas mate. Thing is, whenever a new tyre type/size is introduced it's pricey. As more cars come onto the market the volumes go up, choices become more plentiful, and prices go down.

You are unfortunate damaging one so early... none of this has happened. My point is don't make any rash decisions about wheels and tyres because when you've actually worn all them out things might be different then https://www.aulro.com/afvb/

When we got the MINI, it had 205/45/17 runflats on at $400+ a tyre. No one that I know actually paid that... all found other options https://www.aulro.com/afvb/

Thanks for the feedback Captain Rightfoot, I agree with what you said, and looks like I dont have much choice in the matter as there doesnt seem to be offroads in 19's at this stage and as you pointed out in time there maybe. Just hope I dont pop another tyre between now and then otherwise the other half is going to be putting out her hand for her equivalent spend https://www.aulro.com/afvb/,
