Some friends of mine have launched a new home cold drip system on Indiegogo, which I thought some on here might be interested in. I have purchased one, but I won't get it unless it reaches the target. I hope it does as a) it will be good for my friends and b) I actually really want one.

Atmos Coffee (https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/cold-drip-espresso-made-easy-with-atmos-coffee-design#/)

While only small batches can be done (~250ml or 8.5fl oz) you don't need to constantly adjust the water rate as the grind size automatically does this for you through an air lock. You literally just fill it with coffee, attach the bottles and flip it, then wait. The air lock also means the coffee isn't exposed to the air during the process, which helps it from going stale.

If you haven't tried cold drip - you should! it's a bit like iced tea, but waaaay better :P

Anyway, if you're keen sign up - It's a fixed goal so no items will be shipped unless it reaches it's target. It also means you get your money back if it doesn't reach the target.

I am not receiving any kickbacks from this, so I didn't think that this would breach and vendor rules (I'm not selling it, just letting people know about it) but if I am wrong there, mods please let me know.

Cheers all,

Dan

Ran this past a mate who's a real coffee aficionado - he said capacity is too low for him he'd want litres of the stuff... :)

Yeah i think I'll be doing it every day (or night) to keep up with demand through summer. It's so tasty!

I've looked at a couple of other cold drip products and this is the simplest to use. Plus it looks good too!

Campaign has been extended for a month so will finish after Christmas. Gives you a bit more time to see if there's any cash left over after the silly season and all your land rovers have been cared for [emoji14]

Cheers to everyone who has been interested so far.

Well after 2 years its finally been delivered

In my opinion the quality is excellent. The unit is super solid and the included bottles, though a bit small (250ml?) are easy to screw in. 2 years is a long time to wait but id rather the wait an a quality product.

I've made a few brews now, and its so easy to make. My biggest gripe is the capacity - I'll be making a batch every day at this rate, 2 if friends come round.

(Please excuse my messy grinder)

Once the original indiegogo orders are fulfilled I believe there will either be a second round (with a much shorter wait!) or you can buy direct from the website (atmoscoffee.com).

Anyway, im really happy with it - I just need to buy some higher quality beans now!

I followed the progress and they dealt with the challenges well.

Why do you have cold drip coffee and then just have to heat it up to have your latte?

Why do you have cold drip coffee and then just have to heat it up to have your latte? You would usually drink it cold on ice like in the pic, which is my favourite way.

For me, when i get up earlier than my wife i just have to boil the kettle and I can make a long black with the cold brew. Its way quieter than the grinder and espresso machine.
