Giday crew , can any of those with a 200 tdi defender provide a quick measure / location of the hole for the air intake ( left hand side).
Ie is it in the same panel location as a 300 tdi air intake.

I dont know, but think the 300 has it on the RHS and the 200 on the left but I imagine if its a custom install either would work.

They are completely different. Are they? I think OP is talking about the exterior vent position on the outer wing skin, asking if it LHS is a mirror of RHS vent.
Having just ordered vented skins for both sides, I wouldnt be suprised if they are exact mirrors.
Whats the plan here Sly?

Thats what im talking about .
Thinking about cutting in a vent on left hand side , would like them to be even / match up .

The vent is recessed into the wing so a cut wont look the same but to draw exact mirror you could take off your outer skins and lay them face to face.
What you could do is get a pair of flat aluminium vent grills and add a spacer on one side so both sit proud of the skin.
I went with plastic replacement outer wing skins for 300tdi and 200tdi, so both will have factory vents recessed. I would have done the cut but I removed a snorkel and the wing is a mess underneath.
Intake will be taken from wing top so both side vents will be for moving air through the engine bay.

where do you get plastic skins from?I ordered them from the UK along with a few other parts. I think they are bearmach or britpart so they shouldnt be hard to find.
Once painted they shouldnt look any different and no chance of that bubbling corrosion you eventually get where aluminium meets steel.
